It’s that time of year already! With minimal snow this year, cyclists have been enjoying this ride throughout the winter and early spring. Oregon Department of Transportation has been working hard and has done an incredible job of getting Highway 242, the McKenzie Pass, clear of snow and ready for cyclists. If you’ve never ridden the pass, it’s the trip of a lifetime. The hard work of the ascent is well worth it on the amazing ride down. Be prepared for breathtaking views and for cooler temps up at the summit. Give us a call or send us a message if you’d like some help planning or coordinating your ride.

What a weekend here at Horse Creek Lodge! First McKenzie River Trail Shuttle and first three McKenzie River rafting trips of the season. The weather was incredible, the McKenzie River Trail is open from top to bottom and the river itself is running at a great level. I haven’t made it up to Tokatee Golf course in a couple of weeks but when I visited in late March, things were looking great. Now is a great time to play at Tokatee since it’s not as crowded as it will be this summer and we have discounted golf passes available through early May. In the meantime, here are a couple of shots from our fun weekend:

What a season! We’re finally winding down after an incredible spring and summer – thanks to all of you who helped to make it so busy! We hosted weddings, mountain bike tours with Cog Wild, golf tournaments, quilting bees, and took a whole lot of adventuresome guests on McKenzie River Rafting trips. So much fun!

Fall is undeniably here, and while things may be winding down a bit, there’s still so much to do! Tokatee is again offering discounted golf passes through the local lodges, plus we’ve dropped our rates, so combine the two for a very affordable golf getaway! One-bedroom cabins (Koosah and Tamolitch) are only $100/nt (reg $120 plus tax), Sahalie cabin is $120/nt (reg $140 plus tax) and the Delta House is $350/nt (reg $425 plus tax). These lower rates already include tax, so it’s a great time to book an affordable getaway.

Those of you who are interested in the fungus among us are in for a treat! Forage on our acreage and head down to the Horse Creek Trail to find chanterelles, oysters and more. It’s a great way to take in the fall scenery too.

Don’t forget that all of our cabins and lodge feature wood-burning fireplaces, so after your day’s adventure and activities, you can cozy up in front of a warm, crackling fire and relax.

We hope to see you this fall and winter, so drop us a line at reservations@horse-creek.com or give us a call at 541-822-3243 if you have any questions or would like to check availability.
